The official kickoff event for the 2025 San Diego 48 Hour Film Project! Teams will gather at Spark Studio Soundstage to receive their genre, character, prop, and line requirements, then begin their 48-hour filmmaking journey.

The final mixer before the 48 Hour Film Project competition weekend! Come meet other filmmakers, find team members, or just network at Ballast Point Brewing in Miramar. This is your last opportunity to connect before kickoff.

An open audition for prospective 48 Hour Film Project actors, and teams that are casting acting talent. Auditions will be held at San Diego 48 Hour Film Project’s sponsor, Spark Studio Soundstage in Kearny Mesa. Actors of all skill levels are encouraged to try out, and all teams (or potential teams) looking to cast talent are likewise encouraged to come. Audition spots are first-come-first-served, so please arrive promptly at the start.

Join us for our South Mixer / Meet & Greet at Mujeres Brew House just south of Downtown in Barrio Logan! This is a great opportunity for potential cast, crew, and helpers to network and form teams before the competition kicks off. Logan.
