We’re bringing the San Diego 48 Hour Film Project to
FilmCon San Diego on Friday, July 17 (Film & Fan Day)
at SPARK Studios and Encore Event Center.
City producers Chrissy Raven Kilna and Kilna, Anthony will host a
festival screening of San Diego 48 shorts, run a workshop on surviving (and
thriving in) the 48, and staff an SD48 table in the vendor hall; come meet us,
ask about registration, and find future collaborators before competition weekend.

About the 48 Hour Film Project
The 48 Hour Film Project is the longest running and most popular timed
filmmaking competition. Amateur and professional teams around the world make
movies over a weekend, which are later given a premiere in a real theater.
San Diego’s 2026 competition weekend begins Friday, August 28th.
About FilmCon San Diego
FilmCon San Diego is a two-day discovery event for
film, TV, and creative founders at SPARK Studios and Encore Event Center •
bridging capital and culture on Day 1, then creators, screenings, and fans
on Day 2.
FilmCon tickets are sold through Ticketly. A one-day pass is $25; a two-day
pass is $45.
